The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog., and sent it to me in an email. While I wasn’t expecting to get something like this, I’m glad it was sent. It’s started me thinking about the rather tiny presence this blog has on the web, and what, if anything, I care to do about it. My main focus is on my own process in writing, and on performing what I write in public. While that is certainly helped by marketing myself, in truth I’m not highly motivated to do the marketing type stuff, and don’t have the money to pay someone else for their services. Food for thought, indeed.
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 430 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 7 trips to carry that many people.
